World Malaria Day: Like COVID-19, Ned Nwoko Seeks Global Action Against Malaria

As stakeholders commemorates yet another world malaria day, governments in African continent and world over have been reminded to equally deploy same resources and attention to Covid-19 to towards the fight against malaria scourge.

Frontline anti-malaria campaigner and philanthropist, Prince Ned Nwoko through the Prince Ned Nwoko Malaria Eradication Project insisted that as the world grapples with Covid -19 Pandemic it is imperative to also bring to the fore that malaria like covid -19 still remain one of the greatest killer in the African continent.

He, therefore called for a concerted effort, collaboration among stakeholders to commit funds towards malaria vaccine and research in 5 higher Africa institutions.

In a statement personally signed him and made available to LEADERSHIP by to his media aide, Mr Ifitayo Adeniyi, said Africa account for 91 percent of all malaria death with an estimated 57.5million cases and 225,000 deaths per year.

“Malaria is a leading cause of death among low -income countries and indeed remains one of the major public health threats to human existence in Africa”.

“Nigeria accounts for 27% of the total African malaria burden. Within Nigeria, malaria is a major cause of illness, deaths, poverty and a significant drain on the economy and well being of the Nation. It is estimated that 50% of Nigeria’s adult population will have at least one episode of malaria each year and children under five will have 2-4 attacks annually.

“Children under the five and pregnant women are lost at risk for malaria-related morbidity and mortality, with 11% of maternal and 20% of under-five deaths attributed to malaria. Poorer and more rural population are also at greater risk, with malaria prevalence higher among the lowest wealth quintile(42.9% vs 4.4% among highest quintile ) and among rural populations (35.6% vs 11.5% among urban population)

“The treatment and fight against malaria in Africa and Nigeria from both the private and public sectors have been substantial.

“However, recent studies and statistics on the increasing ravaging effect of the pandemic on human existence have imperatively confirmed the urgent attention to rejig both private and public stakeholders’ commitment to ending the malaria scourge in Africa starting with Nigeria”.


NWOKO mourns Abba Kyari

Foremost philanthropist, Prince Ned Nwoko,has expressed deep condolence with the nation and family of Abba Kyari over the death of the presidential chief of staff.

In a statement at Abuja, Prince Ned Nwoko said the transition of Kyari was a national loss with his strategic importance in governance at the centre.

Prince Nwoko said Nigeria would miss the late chief of staff to president Muhammadu Buhari because he was patriotic in service and loyal to authority.

The former House of Representative member and chancellor of STARS university,Idumuje -Ugboko noted that Kyari would be remembered for his calm disposition, intellect, charisma and strength of character.

According to Nwoko” Abba Kyari was a unique personality.He was true to fidelity, committed to any cause that required his presence.He worked with all dedication as chief of staff and rallied the presidency with a great sense of duty and purpose. His contributions to national development would outlive him”

Nwoko said the late Kyari died a statesman and wished the immediate family, Borno state where he was born and the entire nation divine consolation.

“May Allah receive his soul in perfect peace,” Nwoko concluded.


Prince Ned Nwoko Rejoices with Christians at Easter

… Urges  Humanity to   Emulate Sacrifice of  Jesus  Christ.

 Delta-born billionaire philanthropist and founder of STARS University Idumuje-Ugboko, Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko has rejoiced with Christians all over the world as they celebrate  Easter.

In a statement at Abuja,Prince Ned  Nwoko said Easter remained the threshold of human salvation as it marked the death and ressurection of Jesus  Christ,acknowledged as son of God.

He urged Christians to stand faithful to their salvation by emulating the self – deprecating  nature of Jesus Christ, who died to redeem the  world.

The former House of Reps member, particularly  enjoined  Nigerians to uphold the healing power  of Christ, especially at  this trying  moment of  Coronavirus  global pandemic.

He averred that  hope and faith in God would save Nigerians and the entire world from the scourge of Covid-19.

Ned Nwoko who had embarked on a project to eradicate Malaria in Africa, is also  supporting  humanity to fight the Coronavirus  through the  distribution  of protective kits and palliatives  to individuals and  communities .

According Ned Nwoko, “I identify with Christians at Easter. It is my earnest desire that  faith in the  Almighty  would bring succour  to the world at this difficult era.
My thoughts are  with all Christians on this sacrificial feast

“On behalf of my family and Ned Nwoko Foundation, I wish all, particularly the people of Delta North Senatorial District, Delta State and Nigeria, the best of Easter celebration in the year 2020,” Nwoko stated.


Prince Ned Nwoko and Wife, Regina Daniels, Reach Out to Orphaned Children in Abuja

Chairman of the Prince Ned Nwoko Foundation Hon. Ned Nwoko and his wife, Regina Daniels, have reached out to orphaned children in Abuja as the lockdown over the coronavirus pandemic continues. They both visited three orphanages in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, where they donated foodstuff and cash. Items donated include bags of rice, garri, detergent, spaghetti, vegetable oil, noodles, beverages, napkins, toiletries among others.

The orphanages visited are Destined Children’s Orphanage in Kado, Heritage Home Orphanage in Gwarinpa and Hope for Survival Orphanage in Maitama Extension.

While the first two orphanages were promised a monthly subvention of N500,000 by Prince Ned Nwoko, the third orphanage was given N1million on the spot as a result of more number of kids in the facility totalling 69.

“The reality of the current lockdown is that many are going to bed hungry every night, but not these babies, not these kids. They will have something to eat tonight and beyond the lockdown,” Nwoko told journalists after donating the items.

It is also worthy to note that the Philanthropist, through his foundation, is currently embarking on a mission to eradicate malaria not just Nigeria but the entire continent of Africa.



The attention of the general public is hereby drawn to the activities of fraudsters and impostors on the prowl using the good name of Prince (Hon) Ned Nwoko to swindle unsuspecting members of the public. The criminals operate illegal Facebook accounts for the purpose of defrauding their victims.
Through one of such illegal Facebook accounts simply titled ‘Prince Ned’, an impostor requested the targeted victim to text his account details to 08138842335. He gave the name of a fake CBN ‘agent’, Apostle John Samuel as the phantom person Prince Ned is using to route financial largesse to people.

We wish to inform the public that Prince Ned Nwoko is totally unaware of such unlawful deals and is not paying anybody Nine Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (950,000) or any other amount for that amount as empowerment support.
All associates, supporters and friends of Prince Ned Nwoko as well as the general public are enjoined to totally disregard any request on them by fraudsters and impostors to disclose their account details. We caution against disclosure of such details which may lead to such accounts being hacked or their owners defrauded through other means by the fraudsters. Covid-19: Prince Ned Nwoko Distributes Relief Materials in Delta, Abuja

Foremost philanthropist and international legal luminary, Prince Ned Munir Nwoko yesterday began the distribution of materials that will aid in the battle against the Novel Coronavirus.

The distribution which took place simultaneously across the local government areas of Delta North, saw the Star Prince as Ned Nwoko is fondly called make donations of thousands of clinically certified hand sanitizers, nose masks and hand gloves to the general hospitals in the local government areas in Delta North.

Making the presentations on behalf of Prince Ned, convener Ned Nwoko volunteers, Snr. Comr. Idi Presley Ifeanyichukwu who coordinated the distribution of the items in Ndokwa Nation explained that Prince Ned Nwoko in his usual philanthropic style deemed it necessary to not only educate Delta northerners about the dangers posed by the Novel Coronavirus but also provide them with means to protect themselves from the virus, hence the massive donations today.

Speaking further, Comr. Presley stated that these donations, first in a series of batches is aimed at ensuring people in the hinterlands and rural areas get access to these items which has hitherto been elusive.

He admonished staffs and management of the hospitals visited to ensure that the items get to those who have the greatest need for it.

He rounded up by assuring them that when the next batch of items comes in, more will also be sent in, adding too that he has taken into account their demands and will communicate back to his principal, Prince Ned Nwoko. It’s worth to know that the federal capital territory Abuja will tomorrow, 1st April benefit from free relief materials distribution to the people in the outskirts of the city who could not afford these relief materials to combat Covid-19.

Prince Ned, who is also spearheading the campaign for the eradication of malaria in Africa, a project which he committed 750 million naira into, promised to do more until the Novel Coronavirus is gotten under total control.



As a response to the ravaging crisis of COVID-19, International lawyer and philanthropists, Prince Ned Munir Nwoko, will, beginning from Monday next week sponsor massive sensitization of delta north indigenes in a bid to create awareness and keep them abreast on the threat the Novel Corona Virus poses and how best they can stay safe.

In a statement released to members of the fourth estate of the realm yesterday by the convener Ned Nwoko Volunteers Snr. Comr. Idi Presley Ifeanyichukwu, the doyen of the Paris club refunds felt it proper to identify with his people at this critical time, hence his decision to swing into action immediately.

According to Presley, the STAR PRINCE as Ned Nwoko is fondly called has been monitoring the situation closely from the beginning and with the threat increasing daily, gave the approval yesterday morning for the sensitization and the distribution of protective kits.

Prince Ned Nwoko who is also championing the cause of eradicating the scourge of malaria in Africa, has always been known to lead from the front especially when it involves issues that affect humanity and now is no different.

According to the itinerary made available to newsmen, the plans which includes organising sensitization walks across the the nine local government area, will also see Ned Nwoko volunteers share thousands of nose mask, hand gloves and alcohol based sanitizers with the major focus on places with higher risk areas like markets and motor parks.

Malaria Eradication Project: FCT Minister Receives Prince Ned Nwoko

FCT Minister Hon. Muhammad Bello with State Minister FCT Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu received Prince Ned Nwoko yesterday at his office as the latter shared details of the Malaria Eradication Project. With them is Senator Ali Modu Sheriff. The Minister pledged his support and offered to host all the Ministers in FCT to a dinner and briefing on the Ned Nwoko Malaria Eradication Project.
