Covid-19: Prince Ned Nwoko Distributes Relief Materials in Delta, Abuja

31st March, 2020 (set to replicate same gesture in Abuja tomorrow)

Foremost philanthropist and international legal luminary, Prince Ned Munir Nwoko yesterday began the distribution of materials that will aid in the battle against the Novel Coronavirus.

The distribution which took place simultaneously across the local government areas of Delta North, saw the Star Prince as Ned Nwoko is fondly called make donations of thousands of clinically certified hand sanitizers, nose masks and hand gloves to the general hospitals in the local government areas in Delta North.

Making the presentations on behalf of Prince Ned, convener Ned Nwoko volunteers, Snr. Comr. Idi Presley Ifeanyichukwu who coordinated the distribution of the items in Ndokwa Nation explained that Prince Ned Nwoko in his usual philanthropic style deemed it necessary to not only educate Delta northerners about the dangers posed by the Novel Coronavirus but also provide them with means to protect themselves from the virus, hence the massive donations today.

Speaking further, Comr. Presley stated that these donations, first in a series of batches is aimed at ensuring people in the hinterlands and rural areas get access to these items which has hitherto been elusive.

He admonished staffs and management of the hospitals visited to ensure that the items get to those who have the greatest need for it.

He rounded up by assuring them that when the next batch of items comes in, more will also be sent in, adding too that he has taken into account their demands and will communicate back to his principal, Prince Ned Nwoko. It’s worth to know that the federal capital territory Abuja will tomorrow, 1st April benefit from free relief materials distribution to the people in the outskirts of the city who could not afford these relief materials to combat Covid-19.

Prince Ned, who is also spearheading the campaign for the eradication of malaria in Africa, a project which he committed 750 million naira into, promised to do more until the Novel Coronavirus is gotten under total control.



As a response to the ravaging crisis of COVID-19, International lawyer and philanthropists, Prince Ned Munir Nwoko, will, beginning from Monday next week sponsor massive sensitization of delta north indigenes in a bid to create awareness and keep them abreast on the threat the Novel Corona Virus poses and how best they can stay safe.

In a statement released to members of the fourth estate of the realm yesterday by the convener Ned Nwoko Volunteers Snr. Comr. Idi Presley Ifeanyichukwu, the doyen of the Paris club refunds felt it proper to identify with his people at this critical time, hence his decision to swing into action immediately.

According to Presley, the STAR PRINCE as Ned Nwoko is fondly called has been monitoring the situation closely from the beginning and with the threat increasing daily, gave the approval yesterday morning for the sensitization and the distribution of protective kits.

Prince Ned Nwoko who is also championing the cause of eradicating the scourge of malaria in Africa, has always been known to lead from the front especially when it involves issues that affect humanity and now is no different.

According to the itinerary made available to newsmen, the plans which includes organising sensitization walks across the the nine local government area, will also see Ned Nwoko volunteers share thousands of nose mask, hand gloves and alcohol based sanitizers with the major focus on places with higher risk areas like markets and motor parks.

Malaria Eradication Project: FCT Minister Receives Prince Ned Nwoko

FCT Minister Hon. Muhammad Bello with State Minister FCT Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu received Prince Ned Nwoko yesterday at his office as the latter shared details of the Malaria Eradication Project. With them is Senator Ali Modu Sheriff. The Minister pledged his support and offered to host all the Ministers in FCT to a dinner and briefing on the Ned Nwoko Malaria Eradication Project.

Idumuje Ugboko: Pete Edochie Honorary Golf Classic. The Thrill, Glamour And The Encomium

The 4th Ned Nwoko Foundation Golf Tournament, AKA Pete Edochie Honorary Golf Classics, organised to mark the 63th birthday anniversary of the legendary Nollywood actor, Chief Pete Edochie, was concluded with lots of thrills, excitements, glamour and encomiums, as billed.

The one day classical golf tournament, was held on Saturday 7th March 2020, (the birth date of the Nollywood veteran actor), at the Royal Golf Course, Mount Ned Nwoko Tourist and Cultural Centre, Idumuje Ugboko, Aniocha North LGA, Delta State. It was packaged by Ned Nwoko Foundation to honour one of the most Nigerian iconic actor, Chief Pete Edochie, for his contributions to the movie industry vis-a-vis tourism development in Nigeria.

Speaking after the prize award ceremony, the President of Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Mr. Emeka Rollas, commended Prince Ned Nwoko for staging, what he described as ‘the most exciting, glamorous and expensive golf competition ever, in honour of one of the members of the Guild.

Whilst showering encomiums on Prince Ned Nwoko, who is presently leading the campaign for the eradication of malaria in Africa, Mr Rollas described him as a man with a mission to salvage and transformed the socioeconomic fortunes of Nigerians for the better and pray God to continue to endow him with more resources for the good of humanity.

Also speaking, the President, Ladies in Golf Association, South-South Zone, Madam Juliet Monye, stated that the group have concluded arrangements to invest the Star Prince Anioma nation as patron of the Association as a mark of honour and respect for his unalloyed support and contributions to golf development in Nigeria.

In his response, Hon Prince (Dr) Ned Munir Nwoko, thanked everyone who were present at the occasion.

He further added, ‘I always like to support sporting events particularly golf. But, however, I want to confess that I prefer Tennis to golf. ‘I love Tennis, which is my preferred sport. Maybe I will start playing golf from 70.’ He stated.

Prince Ned Nwoko went on to disclosed that he is constructing an 18 hole golf course at the proposed site of the Stars University, Idumuje-Ugboko and assured golf enthusiasts that in few months time, it would be ready to host bigger golf tournaments.

The Dike Anioma, whilst donating golf equipment to Chief Pete Edochie, said, ‘the gesture is to encourage you to start playing golf.’

The golf tournament was quite exciting and interesting. It attracted participants from across Nigeria and around the globe, including John Parker, from USA, who also participated in the 3rd edition of the tournament.

The winners in the various categories of the events went home with mouthwatering prizes.

Among the distinguished personalities who grace the occasion were; Ambassador Tagma Moha ou Ali, the Moroccan Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr and Mrs Pete Edochie, the special guest of honour of the day, Mr Emeka Rollas, President AGN and Madam Juliet Monye, President, South South Golfers Association amongst others.

Ned Nwoko Hosts Garba Shehu, Shares Details of Malaria Eradication Project (Photo Speak)

Prince Ned Nwoko today hosted the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity Garba Shehu at his home in Abuja and shared with him, details of the Malaria Eradication Project and the need for Nigeria to ratify the Antarctica treaty.



These are good times for popular advocate for child health as Topflyers Magazine has recognized billionaire philanthropist, Prince Ned Nwoko, as Global Icon of the year and And West Africa Media Network’s Most outs Africa Man of the year.
The Award was presented to Prince Ned based on his contribution on the fight against the scourge of malaria in Africa being powered by his foundation.

It will be recalled that Prince Ned Nwoko become the first black man to go to Southpole in Antarctica to raise awareness on eradication of Malaria in Africa. He is also the chancellor of the Stars University the first sport university in Africa and he’s the Initiator of Project Tourism.

Over the years, Prince Ned has put his feet on the sand of time and in the hearts of many for his philantrophic gesture and selfless service in every spheres of profession including Sports, Arts, Culture and Entertainment.
He has empowered and supported many A-list artists in the industry and has changed lives of many who seem to have lost hope.



The Hon. Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator(Dr) George Akume, KSJI, fnim earlier today,28th February,2020 played host to the management team of the NED NWOKO FOUNDATION FOR MALARIA ERADICATION IN AFRICA.

The management team which was led by the Founder/Chairman of the foundation,Prince Ned Nwoko briefed the Hon. Minister of the objectives of the project,which among others include but not limited to ensuring proper environmental hygiene through fumigation,waste management and sensitization on other malaria control measures.

The Founder and Chairman emphasized on his commitment to eradication of malaria due to its ravaging effect/death among children and adults in Africa and Nigeria in particular. The NED NWOKO Foundation which is in partnership with major global health organizations and donor agencies expressed its readiness to wipe out eradication malaria in Nigeria within the next years of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

In his remark, the Hon. Minister,Senator George Akume, KSJI, assures the management team of the NED NWOKO FOUNDATION FOR MALARIA ERADICATION of his cooperation in achieving the lofty objectives of the foundation. The Hon. Minister expressed hope and confidence in Prince Ned Nwoko’s capacity and ability to rescue a large percentage of Nigerians from death traps of malaria in Nigeria.

Prince Ned Nwoko briefed him extensively about the Ned Nwoko Malaria Project and he was full of excitement to see an individual engage in such a project that benefits the entire community. He pledged the support of the UN and encouraged him that the UN is open for collaborations and partnerships towards a successful implementation of the MALARIA ELIMINATION PROJECT.
